Cultivating Connection & Community through the Heart of Nature
Rooted in Remembrance | A Garden Grows Here
My grandmother’s hands no longer worked the earth by the time I was old enough to join her, but her stories did. She spoke of days in her mother’s garden with a napkin and a saltshaker. She loved tomatoes fresh off the vine. Though she left the soil behind, she carried its wisdom.
We often cared for her indoor plant jungle together & as life went on, I eventually had my own little jungle to care for. She taught me that overwatering drowns more than it nourishes, that even the most fragile roots can anchor something strong, and that the end of one cycle always feeds the next. I didn’t know then how deeply those lessons would take root.
The Winter after she passed, my houseplants withered in grief, just as I did. But I remembered her words—dying plants make the richest soil. So the following Spring, I turned loss into growth by beginning my garden journey. That first harvest was small, but it carried the weight of something greater—a legacy.
This space is for those seeking comfort in connection, whether you’re new to the soil or simply searching for your people. Here, we honor the poetry in nature, the lessons in patience, and the quiet ways gardening mirrors the human experience.
Welcome to a space where the past nurtures the present, and every seed planted is a story waiting to unfold…
